It didn’t take long for Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator Arthur Smith to begin making the rounds with interviews for head-coaching vacancies after his team was knocked out of the playoffs on Sunday.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Smith interviewed for the Jacksonville Jaguars’ opening on Sunday night, just hours after the Baltimore Ravens eliminated the Titans from the playoffs.
Schefter also notes that Smith is scheduled to interview for the openings of the New York Jets, Atlanta Falcons and Los Angeles Chargers on Monday, and then the Detroit Lions’ job on Tuesday.
At this point, the only job we haven’t seen confirmation of Smith being set to interview for is the Houston Texans’, but Schefter reported last week that all six teams with openings would either interview or request to interview the offensive coordinator, so it’s possible Smith will talk to the Texans soon.
Smith would be just the latest Titans offensive coordinator to get poached in the last few seasons, as former offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur was hired by the Green Bay Packers in 2019 after serving one season in Nashville.
