An early look at the Texas Longhorns 2021 schedule

With the 2020 college football season in the books for the Texas Longhorns, we take an early look at the 2021 opponents.

It has been a hectic last week for Texas Longhorns football. Following the Alamo Bowl thumping of Colorado, the Forty Acres was flipped upside down over the weekend.

By Saturday the athletic director made a change at head coach with the dismissal of Tom Herman after four years in charge. He finished with a 32-18 record in Austin, 22-13 in conference play, and a perfect 4-0 record in bowl games. He is now out and Alabama‘s offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian is in. There will be plenty of talking points over the next several months as Sark puts together his staff plus the upcoming position battles, and finishing out the 2021 recruiting class.

Speaking of 2021, there is a buzz surrounding this team. What does the firing of Herman and the hiring of Sark do for the program in the upcoming season? Can they avoid some of the pitfalls of the previous staff? All will be answered in due time. In the meantime, we take an early look at the projected 2021 football schedule. At the current point,  they are expected to play a full schedule but as we saw this year, all of it can change at any point in time.

All kickoff times and conference dates are to be announced.
