Oklahoma (5-2, 1-1) is set to return to action Saturday after the long holiday break against No. 9/8 West Virginia (8-2, 1-1) at the Lloyd Noble Center.
The Sooners haven’t played since Dec. 22nd when they took a tough loss to Texas Tech after an Austin Reaves tip in at the buzzer rolled off to keep Oklahoma down by two as the clock struck triple zeroes. They get welcomed back in tough fashion, as the Mountaineers are certainly a top tier team in the Big 12 and the entire country.
Although, they will be without preseason All-Big 12 selection Oscar Tshiebwe after it was announced he has stepped away from the team and won’t return this season.
This continues an absolute gauntlet that the Sooners are going through, as after this matchup they will have to deal with two top five teams the next two games with Baylor on Wednesday and Kansas one week later next Saturday.
