Fortunately, there’s only one more week left this season of interrogating Bill Belichick about the New England Patriots’ starting quarterback.
Fans and NFL media members continuously asked about the possibility of Jarrett Stidham starting after the team missed the playoffs. There was two potential weeks the second-year quarterback had to prove his value for the team going forward. Belichick shut that question down and eventually announced that Cam Newton would start against the Buffalo Bills in Week 16.
The 31-year-old got the start and he walked away throwing 5-of-10 for 34 yards before getting pulled at the end of the third quarter for Stidham. The second-year quarterback came in and threw 4-of-11 for 44 yards.
Both quarterbacks were no match for the Buffalo Bills in the embarrassing 38-9 loss at home. The Patriots are now 6-9 with the New York Jets as the final opponent. Will Belichick finally pull Cam to allow for Stidham to get one start this season?

Sounds like it will be another dreadful week at the podium for Belichick and reporters.
