Ohio State basketball: Updated ESPN game-by-game win probabilities for rest of season

We’ve had a handful of Big Ten games to evaluate, and it’s time for updated ESPN predictions for Ohio State basketball the rest of the way.

We’ve gone through this excercise for Ohio State basketball a few times since the season tipped off, and now that we’re a few games into the Big Ten season, we’re at it again. ESPN has a matchup predictor for each game on its website that provides the win probability using its BPI (Basketball Percentage Index). Now that there are some more data points that have gone into it, things have changed a wee-bit more.

The Big Ten is expected to be a monster this year and any team in the conference is going to be in for a Donnybrook each night out on the court, so even a mediocre record will look great in the eyes of the selection committee. The Bucks are off to a 1-2 start in the Big Ten after a close loss on the road against Northwestern, and that will surely change the outlook on the season according to ESPN.

We all know all these games won’t play out like the worldwide leader in sports programming believes, but it’s still fun to look at. So, here is the updated game-by-game win probabilities for each of Ohio State basketball’s remaining 2020-2021 schedule with a running win-loss record included.
