The Texas Longhorns men’s basketball team last played against the Oklahoma State Cowboys in a 77-74 victory. Their next game was set to take place on Dec. 29 against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. That game has now been cancelled due to COVID-19 cases on their side. The cancellation was announced by the Texas athletic department.
The No. 10/10 University of Texas Men’s Basketball home game against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 29 has been canceled as Texas A&M-Corpus Christi is pausing team activities.
Texas (7-1, 1-0 Big 12 Conference) returns to the court when it travels to play at No. 3/4 Kansas on Saturday, Jan. 2. Tip is set for 11 a.m. Central at Allen Fieldhouse, and the game will be televised nationally by ESPN2.
The Longhorns will travel to Lawrence on Jan. 2 and hope to take down the perennial contenders in the Kansas Jayhawks. After the Jayhawks dropped their first game of the year to Gonzaga, they have since won eight-straight games. That includes two top 15 victories over Texas Tech and West Virginia.
The Longhorns will have a week to prepare for their toughest matchup of the season thus far.
