The latest updates on the Forty Acres on Tuesday. In a wild year of 2020, there is a lot of unknowns. Such as who is coming and who is going from the Texas Longhorns football team. One player that will return in 2021 is will linebacker DeMarvion Overshown.
Overshown To Return in 2021
On Tuesday, Overshown took to his Twitter account to announce that he will return to Austin for the 2021 season. The former safety from Arp, Texas moved to linebacker for the 2020 season with new defensive coordinator Chris Ash running the show. Ash convinced him that the move would be better for the team and better for his NFL outlook. The former rang true this season while the latter remains to be seen.
Given the lack of linebacker depth for Texas, Overshown was a key part of the defense in 2020. There were some hiccups early on but he was able to right the ship as the season progressed. He will likely be a key member of the defense in 2021 from the weakside linebacker spot once again.

Charles Omenihu on Tom Herman
According to a recent report from Burnt Orange Nation, Omenihu was once taking a shot at current Texas Longhorns head coach Tom Herman. The former defensive end and current Houston Texan was recruited by Charlie Strong and his former players have vigorous opinions on the head coach.
It’s no secret that the Charlie Strong era of Texas Longhorns recruits were never fans of Tom Herman when he came in to coach Texas prior to the 2017 season. Former Texas defensive lineman Charles Omenihu even went as far as to blame bad coaching for the Longhorns’ 2018 Big 12 Championship loss to the Oklahoma Sooners in Herman’s second year.
“My senior year, if we had better coaching, we would have whooped them,” Omenihu wrote on Twitter in a since deleted tweet.
