Michigan State Football fans were ecstatic when they landed Belleville offensive lineman Devontae Dobbs. Dobbs, a 4-star offensive guard in the 2019 recruiting class, was one of the highest ranked recruits of the Mark Dantonio era and one of the most highly coveted recruits to commit to MSU in the last 20 years.
However, something never quite fit with Dobbs and the Spartans. After failing to receive much playing time over the last two years, Dobbs entered the transfer portal just a few days ago. Dobbs was quickly able to find a new home at the University of Memphis, which he announced on Twitter Monday morning:
Thank you to all the coaches who have reached out for recruitment! At this time I would like to announce that I will be continuing my educational and athletic career at University of Memphis. #gotigers pic.twitter.com/LAZrQTmu5U
