Colts LB coach Dave Borgonzi unavailable due to COVID-19

Colts will be down a coach on Sunday.

Indianapolis Colts linebackers coach Dave Borgonzi is unavailable to coach in the Week 15 game against the Houston Texans due to COVID-19 related reasons, the team announced Saturday.

The team said his duties will be absorbed by the rest of the defensive staff. The Colts have had this situation happen before when special teams coordinator Bubba Ventrone was unavailable for a game earlier this season.

Fortunately for the Colts, defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus has extensive history as a linebackers coach and should be able to keep the unit in check against a Texans offense led by Deshaun Watson.

The Colts are set to kick off at 1:00 p.m. ET at Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday.
