Despite Steph Curry’s fast start to the contest, a rough second quarter put dug the Golden State Warriors into a deep hole in their preseason tilt against the Sacramento Kings.
The Kings outscored the Warriors 37-20 in the second period, shooting 52.7% from the field. However, Golden State was able to chip away at Sacramento’s lead behind Curry and Marquese Chriss.
In the fourth quarter, the Warriors were able to erase the Kings’ 19-point lead, stealing the lead back late with just 3:28 remaining in the contest. However, it wasn’t enough for Sacramento’s Kyle Guy. The Virginia product buried a last-second buzzer-beater from beyond the arc to win Sacramento the preseason contest, 114-113.
