From where it all started—the overwhelming favorite losing two straight games to begin conference play—to how it ended—with Oklahoma and Iowa State on a collision course to meet once more in Arlington—this year’s Big 12 slate was as memorable as any.
In a Big 12 season characterized by defying expectations at every turn, it’s perhaps fitting (or the opposite of fitting, whatever that is) that it’s likely to end with Oklahoma claiming a sixth-straight Big 12 title (the Sooners opened as a 4.5-point favorite over Iowa State on Sunday). That’s not to say that Iowa State’s out of this thing by any stretch, but the very fact that Oklahoma is here after an 0-2 start says a lot.
