Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford suffered a rib injury in the fourth quarter of Detroit’s game against the Green Bay Packers.
Stafford was injured after a slide where he got twisted between two Packers defenders near the Green Bay end zone. He instantly clutched at his lower ribs on the left side and had his head down in obvious pain.
Stafford stayed in the game for the next play, a Kerryon Johnson touchdown run. After a trip to the locker room with trainers, Stafford reemerged and worked with the staff on the sidelines. He was ruled questionable by the Lions but Chase Daniel took over for the Lions on the next offensive possession.
