The Baltimore Ravens are preparing for the Cleveland Browns in what is as close to a must-win game as possible in Week 14. While Baltimore has seen almost all of their players return from the Reserve/COVID-19 list, some are still dealing with injuries that could potentially sideline them for this game regardless.
Cornerback Jimmy Smith returned to practice Friday, a good sign that he’s on the mend and could potentially play. However, it’s defensive end Calais Campbell that is becoming a bit of a concern. Campbell had sat out Thursday’s practice, seemingly given a veteran’s day off as is normal for this time of the year. But Campbell missed Friday’s practice as well with a calf injury designation.
Campbell returned from the Reserve/COVID-19 list to play against the Dallas Cowboys last week but clearly was not his usual self. At one point of the game, Campbell was spotted limping a bit and looked to be hindered by an injury. If Campbell is unable to go this week, that would put far more pressure on players like Yannick Ngakoue, Brandon Williams, and Matthew Judon to stop Browns running back Nick Chubb on top of trying to get into quarterback Baker Mayfield’s face.
