Wide receiver Josh Gordon has cleared COVID-19 testing protocols and got the green light to return to the Seattle Seahawksâ practice facility. Though he is not eligible to play until Week 16, he can partake in meetings and individual workouts and will be able to start practicing on Dec. 21.
Gordon recently expressed his enthusiasm about being able to return to the team and the NFL on Twitter.
The troubled veteran receiver returns from his fifth suspension for violating the leagueâs substance abuse policy, conveniently before the Seahawks’ final two divisional matchups with the Rams and 49ers when they may need some additional firepower.
The Seahawks are coming off a soul-crushing loss at the hands of the Giants and will play the winless Jets on Sunday. Seattle is expected to win, but as exemplified last week, no victory is set in stone.
