Oklahoma basketball is unranked but receiving votes in USA TODAY Coaches Poll after 2-0 start.

Oklahoma basketball is 2-0 on the young season after knocking off TCU on the road Sunday afternoon in an early conference opener.

The Sooners are not yet ranked in the USA TODAY Sports’ Coaches Poll, but the win was good enough to get them some votes thrown their way. Oklahoma’s 13 received votes is the tenth most of teams outside the top 25.

Sitting at the top of the rankings is Gonzaga who has yet to take a loss at 3-0 and has already beaten two Big 12 opponents in Kansas and West Virginia.

The top five is filled out with Baylor, Iowa, Michigan State and Kansas.

In addition to the Bears, Jayhawks and Mountaineers, Texas and Texas Tech are also Big 12 teams present in the rankings at No. 12 and No. 17 respectively.

The Sooners will take the floor next on Wednesday night as they head to Cincinnati to do battle with 6-0 Xavier.
