Following the breakout performance on offense this past Saturday, freshman running back Bijan Robinson was give Big 12 Conference honors.
After rushing for 172 yards on nine carries with three touchdowns, the Big 12 Conference named Robinson the Newcomer of the Week. This is the second time that Bijan has earned that accolade. He was also named Newcomer of the Week following his performance against the West Virginia Mountaineers.
Bijan scored his first three touchdowns of his collegiate career on Saturday as he led the offense to 69 total points. He was matched by fellow running back Roschon Johnson. The duo proved to be a handful for Kansas State.

Maybe now the Longhorns will stick with their hottest offensive weapon Bijan Robinson. He leads the team in rushing with 520 total yards at a clip of 6.8 yards per attempt. Robinson also leads the team in yards from scrimmage with 679 yards and 7.6 yards per touch.
His number counterpart D’Shawn Jamison was also recognized with Special Teams Player of the Week. This is the second time this year that Jamison has received the honor. Against Oklahoma State, he was named after returning a kickoff for a touchdown. Which begs the question, why are teams continuing to give him opportunities?

Jamison had a total of 160 return yards against Kansas State. Most of the damage came on his three kickoff returns that went for 150 yards total and another 10 on his lone punt return.
Just don’t confuse the Shark with a running back.
