Last year, LSU beat Alabama in Tuscaloosa on their way to an SEC title and a national championship.
The Crimson Tide got their revenge Saturday night with a 55-17 blowout win in Baton Rouge, and their top prospects led the way with dominant performances.
Quarterback Mac Jones continued his Heisman-worthy season with a near-perfect outing, completing 20 of his 28 passes for 385 yards and four touchdowns, with no interceptions. Wide receiver Devonta Smith caught seven passes for 219 yards and three touchdowns in the first half, while running back Najee’ Harris rushed for 145 yards and three scores of his own.
With the victory, Alabama clinched the SEC West, and a spot in the SEC title game against Florida.
