Michigan basketball got out to a rousing start, especially offensively, as the Wolverines won the season debut, 96-82, against Bowling Green.
It wasn’t perfect, however. There were some defensive issues on the perimeter, but other than that, it was a sharp performance by a team that hasn’t played all together against a different colored jersey until Wednesday.
There were a lot of new pieces compared to last year, with two incoming transfers and a touted freshman class. Additionally, two players transferred out, so this was as much of a new-look team as it gets.
Michigan head coach Juwan Howard was ecstatic about his team’s performance and broke down the good and the bad following the game.
