Last year, Joe Burrow led LSU to a national title on the back of the best season college football has ever seen from a quarterback.
This year, Kyle Trask has Florida thinking championship thoughts, and he’s putting up the same kind of numbers that helped make Burrow the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft.
Trask and the Gators have the inside track to win the SEC East, and currently rank No. 6 in the College Football Playoff rankings, with a loss to No. 5 Texas A&M as the only blemish on their record so far this season.
For Trask himself, he’s been lighting up every defense the lines up against him, and his numbers look eerily similar to the ones Burrow put up last season:

🐊 91.9 grade
🐊 31 TDs

Trask may not lead the Gators to a national title, or win the Heisman Trophy, or join Burrow as a No. 1 overall pick, but the season he’s having his historic in its own right.
