Oklahoma jumps one spot after bye week in Amway Coaches Poll

Oklahoma jumps up one spot in the Amway Coaches Poll to No. 17 after having the week off on Saturday.

Oklahoma had the week off on Saturday as they prepare for the stretch run chasing a sixth consecutive Big 12 championship.

Despite that, the Sooners did manage to slide up one spot in the Amway Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports to No. 17. They leap frogged Coastal Carolina even though they also had the week off.

Sitting at the top remains Alabama after they too were idle since their matchup with LSU was postponed.

The rest of the top five also remains untouched with Notre Dame, Ohio State, Clemson, and Florida rounding things out.

Other Big 12 teams in the rankings include Oklahoma State at No. 14, Iowa State at No. 16, and Texas at No. 23.

Next up for Oklahoma will be a Bedlam date with the Cowboys Saturday night at 6:30 p.m. CT.
