While the Boston Celtics’ 2020-2021 “City Edition” jerseys may not be out yet, at least one fan has come up with an out-of-the-box idea for a potential alternate that simply screams “New England”.
We should emphasize that these are not actually in the pipeline, but rather a creation of Twitter user @beardjam, who created a Dunkin Donuts-inspired design that despite the admittedly garish color scheme…somehow works.
The brown, pink, white and orange combo ought to burn a hole in our collective retina in the way last year’s “Enya goes to the pub” City Edition jerseys did (we won’t even get into what color those monstrosities actually were), yet for reasons inexplicable it comes together to look sharp.

No word on if you’ll ever actually be able to cop one of these bad boys in the real world, but the Celtics ought to reach out to the northeast’s favorite purveyor of overly-sweetened coffee and mediocre donuts to see if this can become a thing.
We’re generally against increasing the level of corporate presence on jerseys, but this just makes too much sense.
