Texans declare DE Charles Omenihu, QB Josh McCown out for Browns

Houston Texans defensive end Charles Omenihu and third-string quarterback Josh McCown are out for the Week 10 matchup with the Cleveland Browns.

Defensive end Charles Omenihu and quarterback Josh McCown won’t be traveling with the Houston Texans as they take on the Cleveland Browns Sunday at 12:00 p.m. CT at FirstEnergy Stadium.

For Omenihu, a hamstring injury he sustained during the Week 9 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars is the reason. The former 2019 fifth-round pick did not practice at all this week.

For McCown, the Texans already have the backup quarterback situation under control with A.J. McCarron backing up starter Deshaun Watson. The team nonetheless indicated that McCown was not being held out for any injury or COVID-19 related reasons.
