The Seattle Seahawks tanked Week 9, losing 44-34 to the Buffalo Bills in a game in which the score doesn’t accurately reflect the performances. Seattle struggled on both sides of the ball, posting four turnovers and the worst defensive outing of the Pete Carroll era.
That being said, the Seahawks are still 6-2 on the year and poised to make a playoff run, barring any other disastrous showings. But the egg was laid on Sunday, and for that, Seattle has fallen down to No. 5 in Touchdown Wire’s latest NFL power rankings.
“As high as people have been on the Seattle Seahawks this season – including all of us here at Touchdown Wire – the Seahawks might have a problem,” writes Mark Schofield.

“With this defense, the offense needs to be perfect for Seattle to win,” Schofield continues. “On Sunday against the Bills, the offense was anything but, and they lost. Perfection is, as the dictionary tells us, difficult. Therefore the defense needs to improve, or this could be a fatal flaw for the Seahawks.”
