Michigan vs. Rutgers game time, channel announced

Michigan football will have two prime time contests in a row.

For the third time in five weeks, and the second consecutive game, Michigan football will play under the lights in prime time.

The Wolverines opened the 2020 Big Ten season on the road, playing Minnesota at night in Minneapolis. While that was a romp, the maize and blue fared quite poorly in the subsequent games, both noon kickoffs against MSU and Indiana. Michigan returns to prime time in Big Ten Week 4, with the Wisconsin Badgers coming to town, with ABC airing the game nationally, once again.

Though the following week at Rutgers won’t be a typical national affair, it will, again, be a night game, this time airing on Big Ten Network at 7:30 p.m. EST, Michigan announced on Monday.

The last time these programs faced off at night in Piscataway, it was an all-out romp, as the 2016 Michigan team eviscerated the Scarlet Knights, 78-0.

At the moment, both Rutgers and the Wolverines sit at 1-2, and while this matchup has tended to strongly favor the maize and blue, given Michigan’s recent struggles and RU’s resurgence under new (again) head coach Greg Schiano, anything can happen.
