In an election year, everybody has their own opinion on their preference to win president. In 2020, it felt like this election was much different and much more important in the middle of a global pandemic and a civil rights movement.
On Saturday afternoon, it became official that Joe Biden had defeated incumbent Donald Trump to become the 46th president of the United States of America. It became a big victory for him and a big victory for democracy as a lot of people let their voices be heard by voting.
The Philadelphia 76ers were a big influence on voting this year as they had put out their message about how important voting was during their time in the bubble and their time leading up to the election. Joel Embiid had a great reaction when the news broke that Biden had won.

Josh Richardson then joined in on the fun to show his approval of the new president.

The election may be over and Biden is now the new president, but there is still more work to be done. Hopefully, this is a moment where everybody can step up and do their part by treating each other with the respect that everybody deserves. [lawrence-related id=38909,38900,38903]
