NASHVILLE — Each football season the Tennessee Titans award three high school players in the Volunteer State a Mr. Football Award.

The honor, based on regular season performance, is voted on by high school head coaches and media members in Tennessee.

15 semifinalists were announced by the TSSAA on Thursday, and one Tennessee commitment was included in running back Elijah Howard.

Howard plays for Baylor School in Chattanooga. The 5-foot-11, 185-pound running back is a 3-star on the 247Sports Composite and is the No. 17 player in Tennessee.

Tennessee quarterback target Ty Simpson from Westview High School is also a semifinalist.

Simpson is a 2022 quarterback from Westview High School. He is the No. 2 dual-threat signal-caller in his class and the No. 2 player in the state on the 247Sports Composite.

The three finalists for the Tennessee Titans’ Mr. Football Award will be announced on Dec. 8.
