No. 19 Oklahoma (4-2, 3-2) is finally back home this week as they prepare to host struggling Kansas (0-6, 0-5).
This will be the 111th all-time meeting between the Sooners and the Jayhawks, with Oklahoma holding the series edge 77-27-6. In the Big 12 era, the Sooners have defeated Kansas 15 times in their 17 meetings – with the last Jayhawk win coming all the way back in 1997.
Oklahoma’s current 15-game winning streak against Kansas is the longest in the series history.
Former Sooner head coach Bob Stoops never lost to the Jayhawks in his entire tenure in Norman, and so far Lincoln Riley is off to a 3-0 start of his own winning by an average of 26 points per game.
While Kansas has not beaten Oklahoma since the turn of the millennium, Jayhawk head coach Les Miles has beaten the Sooners twice when he was the head coach of Oklahoma State in 2001 and 2002.
The next installment in the series will take place this Saturday at 2:30 p.m. CT in Norman.
