It looks like Adam Schefter added Antonio Brown to his fantasy team before breaking the news

That team name!

On Wednesday, ESPN NFL reporter Adam Schefter broke the news that wide receiver Antonio Brown was eligible for reinstatement on Week 8 and that the Seattle Seahawks were positioned to make a run at the embattled receiver who was suspended amid allegations of sexual assault.

It was the kind of news that could have major fantasy implications for the second half of the season. After all, we’re talking about a seven-time Pro Bowl receiver teaming up with Russell Wilson.

Well, I imagine that one of the more overlooked advantages of playing fantasy football while also being an NFL insider for ESPN is that you would have a head start on roster moves.

Schefter appeared to use that scoop to his advantage because, according to a screenshot from ESPN Vice President of Production Seth Markman, Schefter added Brown to his fantasy team about three hours before his report went public.

Also, it’s pretty amazing that Schefter’s team name is “Per Sources.” That’s fantastic.

Honestly, though, if I were commissioner in a fantasy football league that consisted of ESPN execs and Adam Schefter, you better believe that I would have a rule against insider dealing like that. But because I am not in that league (sadly), I can enjoy how Schefter scooped up a potential game-changing free agent based on a call from a source.

His team lives up to its name.
