Following another wild weekend of college football, Alabama continues to hold strong at the No. 2 spot in the latest Amway Coaches Poll, powered by USA TODAY Sports.
Alabama got its biggest win of the 2020 season on Saturday, as the Crimson Tide handed Georgia a 41-24 loss. As impressive as it was, it didn’t help Alabama jump Clemson for the top spot.
To be fair, the Tigers did give a thrashing to ACC foe Georgia Tech, who was defeated by a margin of 67 points (73-7). But Alabama did slightly close the gap as far as first place votes. The split was 55-5 in Clemson’s favor prior to this weekend, but following the win against Georgia, it now sits at 52-8.
Still a large gap, but it’s at least moving in the right direction. Here is how the rest of the Coaches Poll shook out on Sunday morning.
