USA TODAY reveals Nick Saban as highest paid CFB coach in 2020

USA TODAY reveals Nick Saban earns the highest amount among all college football coaches from around the nation.

Nick Saban is at the top of a list again, and no, it’s not the AP poll or a ranking for the best college football coaches of all time. USA TODAY reveals the Alabama Crimson Tide head coach is the highest paid coach throughout all of college football in 2020.

Coming in at the top spot, Saban is set to make $9,300,000 in 2020. That amount makes him the only coach to surpass $9 million.

The next highest paid coach is LSU’s Ed Orgeron with $8,918,500.

Within the top ten highest paid coaches, six of them are the heads of SEC programs – Alabama, LSU, Texas A&M, UGA, Auburn and Florida.

Others to make the list from conferences other than the SEC are Clemson’s Dabo Swinney at No. 3 with $8,319,775, Michigan’s Jim Harbaugh at No. 4 with $8,036,179, Lincoln Riley of Oklahoma at No. 8 with $6,202,726 and Gary Patterson of TCU at No. 9 with $6,130,937.
