The Buffalo Bills worked out a player who previously spent time with the team on Friday.
According to the NFL’s transaction wire, cornerback Lafayette Pitts had a workout with the Bills. Pitts, 28, had a previous stints with the Bills during the tenure of Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott.
In October 2017. the Bills claimed Pitts off waivers. He then spent 2017 and 2018 with the team. In both seasons, Pitts was mostly just a core special teams player for Buffalo. In his second season with the Bills, Pitts, who played in all 16 games that year, played in 64 percent of Buffalo’s special teams snaps.
While Pitts does have that prior experience with the Bills. his time in Buffalo was not under current special teams coordinator Heath Farwell, who was hired just last season. At the time, Danny Crossman was Buffalo’s special teams coordinator.
