The Kansas City Chiefs are favored by double-digits for the first time this season.
BetMGM’s betting lines for Week 5 have the Chiefs listed as huge home favorites over the Las Vegas Raiders. The Raiders (2-2) are coming off back-to-back losses following a 30-23 loss at home to the Buffalo Bills in Week 4. Meanwhile, the Chiefs started the season 4-0 for the fourth consecutive year, making NFL history by doing so.
At BetMGM, the Chiefs are currently listed as 12-point favorites over the Raiders. The current money line is at -715 for Kansas City and +500 for Las Vegas. The over/under point total is set at 55.5 points. The Chiefs have an implied win probability of 87.73 percent in this matchup.
It’s not terribly surprising that Kansas City is so heavily favored in this game. The Raiders haven’t had much in the way of success when facing the Chiefs in Kansas City. It’s been nearly a decade since the last time they won a game at Arrowhead Stadium. You have to go back to 2012 when Andy Reid was still coaching the Philadelphia Eagles and Matt Cassel was the Chiefs’ quarterback.
One big thing that has held this Las Vegas team back this season is mistakes. It’s hard to see them correcting them this week in Kansas City. Since 2017, Raiders QB Derek Carr has thrown six interceptions and fumbled the ball three times when playing games at Arrowhead Stadium.
