The Big Ten won’t kickoff the 2020 season for a few more weeks but there was still some movement up the rankings for a handful of Big Ten teams in the latest coaches poll.
Ohio State remained No. 6 in the newly released Amway Coaches Poll powered by USA Today, but the three other ranked Big Ten squads all moved up a few spots based on this past weekend’s results. Penn State moved up two spots to No. 8, Wisconsin jumped up four spots to No. 14, and Michigan scooted up two spots to No. 19. Minnesota, Iowa and Nebraska also received votes in this week’s poll.
To no surprise, Michigan State didn’t receive any votes in this week’s poll. The Spartans open the 2020 season on Oct. 24 against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. Game time for kickoff in that one is still to be determined.
