The Brooklyn Nets have a ton of talent on their roster, but adjustment will still need to be made.

Jeff Van Gundy was among the select few individuals linked to the Brooklyn Nets head coaching search after the team parted ways with Kenny Atkinson in March.

Of course, he didn’t get the job, but it’s clear the former New York Knicks head coach did his research on the team.

Because when he appeared on Heavy Live With Scoop B, Van Gundy had a lot to say to Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson about what adjustments will need to be made on the Nets’ part with a healthy Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving set to take the floor.

“And it’s all based on the ball,” Van Gundy told Robinson. “A lot of them are so used to having the ball in their hands for a predominant amount of time and when you get on great teams, it’s right back to kindergarten when you learned how to share. You have to learn how to share once again. You have to be good with it and enjoy it. You can’t resent it; so for the Nets, they have obviously Durant their best player and Irving is an incredibly talented offensive player. But they have other guys that are used to playing with the ball in their hands and that’s why re-signing Joe Harris was so critical. He’s a great component playing off of greatness and they have some roster decisions to try to decide and I think Steve Nash will do a really good job.”
