Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes and his fiancee, Brittany Matthews, recently announced that they’re expecting their first child.
While the mother-to-be might have something else to say about it, Mahomes has already given some thought to the teammates that he would and wouldn’t consider for a babysitter.
“I would say like Matt Moore or someone like that, that’s responsible,” Mahomes said. “I can’t let Trav (Travis Kelce) or anybody like that do it, I mean we never know what would happen.”
While Moore might be the responsible one for babysitting, Kelce could certainly teach the kid some dance moves. He might be better off leaving the kiddo with someone like Gehrig Dieter, who is raising a young Chiefs fan of his own.

Needless to say, Mahomes is excited to get his family started in Kansas City.
“Yeah, I mean it’s extremely exciting,” Mahomes said. “I mean being able to kind of grow up and have these dreams of having a family and playing in the NFL. For that stuff to start happening and really coming into truth and everything like that, I mean it’s really cool. I’m just excited that I have a lot of great people around me, and I’m in a great organization and I’m able to live out these dreams day by day.”
Mahomes’ child might grow up in the Kansas City locker room learning the same types of lessons that Mahomes did growing up in MLB clubhouses with his father. It’s certainly an exciting time for Mahomes and his growing family.
