The injuries are beginning to pile up for the Kansas City Chiefs.
The team has announced that DE Frank Clark and RB Darrel Williams are both questionable to return against the Los Angeles Chargers. Clark is dealing with an illness and Williams with an ankle injury.
It’s worth noting that Clark missed some time during training camp with an illness. It’s not clear exactly what type of illness he’s currently dealing with. He had two tackles on the day but had been held without a sack. In place of Clark, the Chiefs have been playing rookie DE Mike Danna, who has since recorded a sack.

Williams didn’t receive any carries on the day, but he did have one catch for 12 yards early on in the game. It’s not clear when exactly Williams suffered the ankle injury. The Chiefs got Darwin Thompson involved on offense for a series in the second quarter which signaled that something was going on with Williams.
Obviously, these aren’t ideal injuries for the Chiefs. Williams is the best pass-protector at the RB spot. Clark is one of the best pass-rushers for Kansas City. They’ll have to roll with the punches and make adjustments to their personnel.
