Calvin Ridley was drafted in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft with the expectation that he would become an elite No. 2 option behind Julio Jones for the passing game in Atlanta.
Well, it looks like those hopes have become a reality, as the former Alabama receiving is proving to be a reliable option for Matt Ryan within the Falcons offense.
On Sunday, Ridley made an impressive catch that he then turned into a touchdown to put his team up 7-0 against the Dallas Cowboys. Check out the tweet below:

This touchdown above comes a week after Ridley posted impressive stats in a 38-25 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. In that opening week game, he produced nine receptions for 130 yards and two scores, averaging 14.4 yards per catch in the process.
What a start to Ridley’s third season in the NFL. During his first two seasons, he posted 127 catches for 1,687 yards and 17 touchdowns.
