The Alabama Crimson Tide stayed put at No. 2 in the latest Amway Coaches Poll, powered by USA TODAY Sports, following Week 2 of college football action.
The news isn’t overly shocking, but it is shocking that the return of the Big Ten, and Ohio State in particular, didn’t automatically equate to those top 25 teams assuming the spots they were originally given.
For example, the Buckeyes ranked No. 2 in the original preseason Amway Coaches Poll back in early August, but with the return, they’re only sitting at No. 10.
Below is how the rest of the poll shook out following the Big Ten’s decision and Week 2 of college football.
