When done right, trash talk can be a wonderfully entertaining part of the fight game. When not done right, you get whatever it is [autotag]Kamaru Usman[/autotag] and [autotag]Colby Covington[/autotag] do when they’re in each other’s presence, as was the case Saturday night.
After his impressive win over Tyron Woodley at UFC on ESPN+ 36, Covington was on the post-show, where Usman, the reigning welterweight champion, served as a guest analyst.
We’re well aware that Usman defeated Covington last December to retain his title, and Covington has been calling for a rematch ever since. So naturally, reporter Megan Olivi gave Covington the opportunity to address Usman directly.
Here’s the heated – but also cringeworthy – exchange that transpired (via Twitter):

The Blue Corner is MMA Junkie’s blog space. We don’t take it overly serious, and neither should you. If you come complaining to us that something you read here is not hard-hitting news, expect to have the previous sentence repeated in ALL CAPS.
