Prediction
Brewers 4, Cardinals 3
Money line (ML)
The Brewers (-154) have taken two of the first three games of this series, while limiting St. Louis (+140) to seven total runs. Milwaukee erupted for 18 runs Tuesday night but should retreat back down to Earth Wednesday in Game 1.
Still, they’ll beat the Cardinals again in a lower-scoring affair. Take the BREWERS (-154) to win the first game of the doubleheader.
New to sports betting? A $10 bet on the Brewers to win returns a profit of $6.49.
Run line/Against the spread (ATS)
The Brewers are favored in this one, coming in at -1.5 (+155). While I like Milwaukee to win, this game is likely to be close again like the first two games of the series.
Take the CARDINALS +1.5 (-189) to cover the small spread in a close loss.
Over/Under (O/U)
The Over/Under is only 5.5 runs in this seven-inning game. After seeing the first two games of the series feature just eight total runs, it’s understandable that the total would be set lower.
Despite that fact, I’m taking the OVER (-115).
