MILWAUKEE — Tigers’ left fielder Christin Stewart picked up a hit for the second consecutive day. On Wednesday night, he singled and drove in a run.
The Tigers came up on the short end of an 8-5 decision against the Milwaukee Brewers at Miller Park.
Stewart, a former University of Tennessee baseball player, has hit safely in his last two games and may be ready to break out of a season-long hitting slump that he has been battling in 2020.
Stewart, who is now batting .188, had two hits, including a home run for the Tigers (17-17) in their 12-1 victory over the Brewers on Tuesday.
He has three homers and nine RBIs this season.
