Three Rams make ESPN’s top 100 players for 2020

Aaron Donald led the charge at No. 2 in the top 100.

Even though the Rams are going mostly overlooked by a good portion of fans and media members, they still have enough talent to make it back to the playoffs this season. And with Sean McVay leading the charge, don’t be surprised if Los Angeles not only has a fourth straight winning season, but also returns to the playoffs.

At the top of the talent heap is of course Aaron Donald, who was named the second-best player in the NFL by ESPN’s panel of 46 experts. Jalen Ramsey and Cooper Kupp were also ranked among the league’s best, landing inside the top 100 of ESPN’s list.

Ramsey came in at No. 35, while Kupp was 95th – both around the same spots they were voted in NFL Network’s Top 100 Players of 2020.

In addition to ranking the 100 best players, ESPN also shared stat projections for each player on the list.

  • Aaron Donald: 49 tackles, 10 sacks, 2 forced fumbles
  • Jalen Ramsey: 65 tackles, 1 INT
  • Cooper Kupp: 80 catches, 997 yards, 6 TDs

None of those projected stats are particularly impressive, especially considering they’d all be lower than each player had in 2019. But the fact that three Rams made the list is noteworthy because it shows the talent Los Angeles has at the top of its roster.

Jared Goff missed the cut, as did Andrew Whitworth and Robert Woods.
