The purge continues for the Jacksonville Jaguars, who followed up Sunday’s trade of star pass rusher Yannick Ngakoue with yet another move that sends one of their biggest names elsewhere.
Running back Leonard Fournette, a former top-five draft pick, has been waived:

The No. 4 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, Fournette was one of the most heralded draft picks in recent memory. His rare blend of speed and power had some wondering if he would skip his final college football season to preserve himself for the next level.
But Fournette never became the elite playmaker he was expected to be in Jacksonville, thanks in part to injuries. Still at just 25 years old, he’s sure to get some interest now that he’s available on the open market.
