This past Monday on Fox College Football, Joey Bosa and Urban Meyer went through the 2014 Ohio State National Championship run game by game to give their analysis and perspective. This included a couple of minutes discussing their dominant win against the Wisconsin Badgers in the 2014 Big Ten Championship game where the Buckeyes shut out Wisconsin 59-0.
Bosa and Meyer both looked to the game as a proving ground to make the first college football playoffs and to help voters forgive their upset loss to Virginia Tech at the beginning of the season. This forceful win by the Buckeyes proved to be enough to propel them to the Sugar Bowl and to a 42-20 win against the Oregon Ducks in the National Championship game.
It is really interesting to see an opponent’s perspective on beating Wisconsin and helps me as a Badger fan better understand the dynamics of that game.
The Wisconsin game is discussed at around 19 minutes into the conversation if you want to skip ahead.
