Antetokounmpo actually found out Monday afternoon in the locker room when coach Mike Budenholzer told him after the team’s 121-106 Game 4 playoff victory over the Magic. “It was just players and coaches,” Antetokounmpo said in a virtual news conference with Budenholzer on Tuesday night. “Usually when coach wants to talk to us after a game, somebody messed up, somebody did something, right? So, in my head, I was like OK and I’m looking around asking, ‘Who did something?’ because I know I didn’t do anything. Coach was so excited. He was so happy. He told me I won defensive player of the year, (he) jumped on the table. Sorry, coach.”
