The Chicago Bears already have a crowded wide receivers room, but that isn’t stopping them from adding some more speed to the roster.

The Bears are signing former Minnesota Vikings and Indianapolis Colts wideout Rodney Adams, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. Adams was reinstated earlier this year after he retired a couple of years ago.

Adams was drafted by the Vikings in the fifth-round of the 2017 NFL Draft. Adams spent time on Minnesota’s active roster and practice squad as a rookie, but he never saw regular-season game action.

He signed a reserve/future contract with the Colts in February 2018 and was placed on the reserve/retired list just a couple months later. After being reinstated from that list in late January 2020, Adams was waived by the Colts in August.
