Today has been a huge day for Michigan State Basketball and their fans as the Spartans landed the commitment of one of the top high school basketball players in the state of Michigan in point guard Jaden Akins. The Spartans 2021 class is now stacked between Akins, Pierre Brooks, and 5-star Max Christie, however, they might not be done adding to that class yet.
5-star MSU commit Emoni Bates hinted at the end of an Instagram Live session today that he may reclassify from the 2022 class to 2021, a move that has been heavily speculated by many fans and media members, including us here at SpartansWire.
Here is what Bates said, according to Brandon Champion of MLive:

Bates also shared some fan art of him on his Instagram of him in green and white and added “2021 thoughts”. If this happens, the Spartans could have one of the best incoming recruiting classes in college basketball history between Bates, Christie, Brooks and Akins, and there is also the chance that Enoch Boakye could reclassify…
I’m pretty sure this has been shared 20 times by now. Be still my heart… pic.twitter.com/g265VU2hXU
