The Green Bay Packers are adding another wide receiver to the roster.
One day after claiming Travis Fulgham off of waivers, free agent receiver Malik Turner announced via social media he was signing with the Packers.
Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reported the Packers were signing Turner earlier on Tuesday.
Rob Demovsky of ESPN reported that Turner had visited Green Bay over the week. According to NFL rules, teams aren’t allowed to host workouts for street free agents they don’t intend to sign.
Turner, an undrafted free agent from Illinois, spent the last two seasons with the Seattle Seahawks. He caught 15 passes for 245 yards and a touchdown over 242 snaps and 15 games last season. He averaged 16.3 yards per reception and 11.1 yards per target. Seahawks quarterbacks had a passer rating of 120.5 when targeting him in 2019.
Together, Fulgham and Turner will help the Packers attempt to address depth issues at wide receiver after losing Devin Funchess, who opted out of the 2020 season.
