WATCH: Henry Ruggs III makes impressive catch during Raiders training camp

Former Alabama WR Henry Ruggs III is already making a name for himself with the Las Vegas Raiders before even wearing full pads.

Former Alabama wide receiver Henry Ruggs III was a quiet, but large contributor during his time with the Crimson Tide. His name covered headlines due to his speed when it came time for the 2020 NFL combine.

While Ruggs is very, very fast, it’s not the only skill he possesses. The Las Vegas Raiders drafted him No. 12 overall for a reason, and he’s already showed it off during training camp.

His hands, paired with his speed, make for a dangerous combination.

Ruggs’ 98 receptions over three seasons at Alabama were turned into 1,716 yards and 24 touchdowns.

Just a day after Raiders offensive coordinator Greg Olson publicly announced Ruggs would be starting as a slot receiver with the team, the Crimson Tide product is already turning heads at training camp.

A 20-yard pass from Derek Carr went a little too high and outside, but it was not out of reach for Ruggs. he jumped, twisted, made the catch and was able to come down with the ball in the end zone.
