LeBron James approves of latest Ohio State basketball commitment

LeBron James took to Twitter to congratulate four-star shooting guard Malaki Branham on his commitment to Ohio State.

In case you missed it, four-star shooting guard Malaki Branham announced his decision to attend Ohio State Wednesday at promptly 2:22 P.M. Branham is rated as the No. 6 shooting guard and 27th overall prospect in the 2020 recruiting cycle, so getting him on board was huge for Chris Holtmann and the rest of the Buckeye staff.

Even more interesting is that Branham is out of Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary High School, the same school as a guy you may have heard of. His name is LeBron James and he’s pretty good at putting a round leather ball through an iron-framed rim. In fact, he’s arguably the best in the world at it.

The fact that Branham announced his decision to attend Ohio State didn’t go unnoticed by James who is also a big Ohio State superfan. In fact, he Tweeted out a congratulatory message after the announcement.

It’s unlikely that Branham will be the global phenomenon that James is, but he’s got the tools and athleticism to be a big part of Ohio State’s program next year, and eventually make his way to the NBA as well.
